OVERVIEW: The Clinical Program Supervisor – REACH Team Lead, works with REACH management team to provide for overall management, supervision and program development of a REACH community based team. Ensures the REACH Team meets productivity, budget, accreditation, and licensure requirements. Develops and maintains working relationships with individuals served, family members and/or care givers, other NRVCS programs, and other agencies working with REACH services. Provides direct services to individuals served. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive knowledge and training in best practices for providing community-based crisis services for individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and behavioral health diagnoses residing in community settings.
  • Thorough knowledge of DSM –V etiology, symptoms, treatments and prognoses. Advanced assessment and service plan development skills is required.
  • Ability to manage staff, budget, and program operations effectively and within DMAS guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of treatment best practices and support modalities for serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the work of teams and work effectively with other agencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agency, state, and federal regulations and standards for REACH, including Medicaid and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and present educational materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, individuals served and their families, co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
  • Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment;
  • Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a bachelor’s degree in a Virginia DMAS approved human services field, current enrollment in a clinical licensure track Master’s program, and at least 5 years of experience working directly with individuals with DD/MH diagnoses is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • State of Virginia clinical behavioral health related professional licensure preferred.
  • If not Licensed, current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A or QMHP-C is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) and an acceptable driving record must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire.
